BlockTrain

Have you ever felt this way?
Living in a city for years, you think you’re familiar with here, yet a sense of alienation or rootlessness could still unconsciously be creeping. This sort of vibe grows stronger especially when you’re on a bus/train where the window separates you and the city. A passenger, an alien.

Now, we invite you to get on BlockTrain, a train travelling on the Tezos blockchain. Along the way are landscapes built by p5.js. On BlockTrain, you don’t just view from within, but can interact with the scenery outside. You can even decide what to include in the scenery. Everyone’s trip is unique with 1:1 scenery and experience.

Interactive

Holders can interact with the NFT. They don’t just “view” from one side of a window, but can change scenery “outside the window” at their own will.

Modularization

With the exclusive “MERGE” mechanism, we invite collectors to co-create 1:1 train-NFTs.

Audio-Visual

As one merges visual NFTs, the music will be randomly pieced up and a new audio-visual NFT will be made based on NFT parameters.

Community

It attempts to build an interactive-art community rooted in the Tezos ecosystem.

Director – Aluan

He is the first Taiwanese artist featured in Art Blocks (2021), specializing in multimedia design and writing interactive programming language. An audiovisual art pioneer characterized by geometric figures combined with electronic breakbeat music. His works have won the first prize in Taipei Arts Festival 2012 and 2015, and now he has been dedicated to creating generative art.

A creative coder known for his interactive illustrations. With an educational background of graphic design, he provides the vision with delights different from geometric figures, making those seeming-illustration objects become interactive works with Processing and P5.js. Recent solo exhibition includes No Filler at SOKA ART Tainan and Where is My House? on akaSwap.

Founded in 2010, it specializes in creating participatory experiences for the audience. It has been dedicated to counseling service of Web3 design and NFT production since 2021, providing a complete set of Web3 design counseling services including making launch plans, designing/producing NFTs, minting NFTs, and community marketing.

  • Q: What is BlockTrain?

    BlockTrain is a series of interactive gen-art NFTs on Tezos blockchain. It presents “moving train” as the theme, divided into 5 different phases. It will lead collectors to search for lost memories and redefine audio-visual artwork

  • Q: Where can I collect each phase of BlockTrain?

    Phase 1 to 4 will be launched on fxhash. Phase 5 will be on akaSwap. MERGE will be available on the official website.

  • Q: When is the minting date for each phase?

  • Q: What is MERGE function? Will all the original items disappear after merging?

    With “MERGE function,” you can combine NFTs from different phases at your will. However, you don’t have to collect all the phases; you can merge as long as you have NFTs of Phase 1 & 2.
    After merging, all the original items will not be burned and will be reserved in the official wallet address of BlockTrain. The MERGE function is free (gas fee only).

  • Q: How to do it? Does “MERGE” have any limitations?

    - Phase 1 & 2 (window & building) are required, and the rest is optional.
    - That is, one can do the “MERGE” action on the official website as soon as the launch of Phase 2.
    - You can merge more than 1 token of Phase 3 & 5 (object & PixelBoard), 3 tokens atmost.
    - PASS cannot be merged.

  • Q: When will “MERGE” start?

    “MERGE” will be available as soon as the launch of Phase 2: Building.
